MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF PELVIC MUSCLE FUNCTION IN PATIENTS WITH HIP JOINT ADDUCTION CONTRACTURE AT SINGLE-SUPPORT STANDING

چکیده
Long existing hip arthritis is accompanied by the development ofpain and contractures that cause contractile muscle spasm, reductionin length of adductor muscles flexors thigh, relative overstretching abductor muscles, which over timeleads to changes in their structure. The result weakness thepelvic clinical manifestation a violationof postural balance — lameness, torso tilts while walking, changesin pelvic position, etc. Objective. To determine effect thehip joint adduction contracture on ability maintain balancestanding position with mathematical model. Methods: mathematicalmodel worked out represents pelvis thigh andthe vectors action muscles. Themuscular effort required body during one-legstanding was normal set at 5° 10°.Calculations were performed for patients weighing 70; 100; 120 kg.Results. It determined 5°m. gracilis, m. add magnus, piriformis are not able performthe functions maintaining due necessity todevelop greater efforts than maximum possible, even theminimal patient's weight. If weight exceeds kg, thenalmost entire muscular system stabilization worksbeyond its capabilities. 10° increasesthe force stabilizer absolute valuesshowed an increase strength indicators. Conclusions. The causes change thebiomechanical conditions inthe angles reducing effectivenessof work stabilize pelvis. As angle adductioncontracture increases, there tendency musclesto effectively. An additional factor negatively affects thisindicator overweight.

Pelvic Incidence in Patients with Hip Osteoarthritis
Background: Hip osteoarthritis (OA) is a major cause of pain and disability that results in considerable social and medical costs. Mechanics such as posture, alignment and orientation of the hips and the spinal column and the relationship between these factors have been implicated in the development of both hip and spine pathologies. This study aims to test the hypothesis if pelvic incidenc...
متن کاملRelationship between Hip Flexion Contracture and Hip-Joint Contact Force in Standing Posture: A Computer Simulation Study
Mechanical stress on articular cartilage and long-duration standing postures are risk factors for hip osteoarthritis progression. This study aims to examine the relationship between hip flexion contracture and the hip-joint contact force in standing postures using computer simulation. A musculoskeletal model composed of seven segments (Head, Arms, and Trunk (HAT) and thighs, shanks, and two fee...
متن کاملStepping before standing: hip muscle function in stepping and standing balance after stroke.
OBJECTIVE To compare the pattern of pelvic girdle muscle activation in normal subjects and hemiparetic patients while stepping and maintaining standing balance. DESIGN Group comparison. METHOD Seventeen patients who had regained the ability to walk after a single hemiparetic stroke were studied together with 16 normal controls. Median interval between stroke and testing was 17 months. Ampli...
متن کاملPelvic instability and trunk and hip muscle recruitment patterns in patients with total hip arthroplasty.
Hip and lumbar spine disorders often coexist in patients with total hip arthroplasty (THA). The current study aimed to reveal pelvic motion pathology and altered trunk and hip muscle recruitment patterns relating to pelvic motion in patients with THA. Twenty-one women who underwent THA and 12 age-matched healthy women were recruited. Pelvic kinematics and muscle recruitment patterns (i.e., ampl...
